Wow! I didn't realize how big the Songer family is. My 2nd great grandmother is Lulu Maude Songer Holmes. Joseph and Nancy Songer are her parents. This is so cool. I just started working on my family tree in November 2011 and I find out something new almost everyday and eventually that leads to meeting family I never knew that I had.

I am related to the Songers. My grandmothers maiden name is June Janette Small. Her father was Charles Jackson Small, and his father was Elmer Ellsworth Small. Charles' mother was Ella Catherine Small. I just wanted to say Hello and wanted to know if you could add me, my brother, and sister to your family tree.And my daughter also. My fathers name is Daniel Shawn Harris. My brothers name is Dustin Sean Harris born Sept. 28,1986 died Dec. 26,2006. My sisters name is Nora Nicole Harris born Oct. 20,1985. I was born Sept. 10,1987 and I have a daughter named Destiny Lynn Harris born Aug. 11,2011. When I came upon this sight and looked at some of the pictures of the Songers, I thought they looked familiar. My grandmother's father had a family history tree made, and He had some of the pictures you have on this site in it. I actually stumbled across this sight through google when i was looking up some of my ancestors names.

Just stumbled upon your great website! My father was Jasper G. Songer who is listed on your page of WWII heroes. His parents were Oliver and Samantha Jane aka Jenny (Riley) Songer. He lived in Madison County Indiana his entire life 1911-1994. His grandfather was Jasper N Songer from Pittsburgh, PA. I have a photo of a reunion of the 52nd Indiana Civil War vets, but I'm not sure who my relative is in the photo. Wish I'd paid more attention. Anyway, great site!

Oh my! What a treasure! My son happen upon your website as he searched his Grandpa's name. (David Eugene Fahr)
Thank you to the Songer family members who took the time to put this together. My Great Grandma was Sallie(Songer) Jarvis. But I didn't know that was Great Grandma's maiden name until today!!!!!!
(Oh I hope I spelled that right!) My Grandmother was Bertha Fahr. My wonderful parents were David Eugene and Betty Fahr!!!!.
