I just came across this website this evening, and am very interested. We must come from the same line of Songers. My grandfather was Clifford Clennon Songer, my mother was Hazel Frances Songer Johnson. In looking at the family tree, I see some errors that I would like to correct. How can I accomplish this? I have genealogical information compiled by my uncle, Hubert Songer that goes back to 1753, all in the U.S. I would like to determine who the first Songer to come to the U.S., and where he came from...I think Germany.
I think my grandmother Nonnie Mae Songer came from Alabama. I live in Alabama now, and when I have time, want to pursue a more in depth research. I'll be happy to share what I have.
